Content Manager , In House, Santa Monica or San Jose, California Full Time

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Looking for a talented Content Manager, who is responsible for researching, copywriting, and editing unique and engaging copy for editorials, marketing, internal customers, and site copy that reflects our brand and voice on web sites visited by millions of people every day. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to increase conversions and improve messaging. You will work closely with marketing and product teams to track needs, progress and effectiveness. Your contributions will ensure the best possible user engagement for everyone who visits our web sites 24 hours a day, every day of the year, all over the world. 

WHAT WE NEED ON OUR TEAM

  • Will write engaging error free copy to affirmatively reflect Our Networks’ brand and voice and Company as the thought leader in Internet social media
  • Will write, edit, and prepare final content/copy for style, design, layout, and editorial aspects for newsletters, blogs, banners, infographics, FAQs, tag lines, and Web copy before publication/broadcast
  • Will organize material and complete assignments according to industry and Company standards  regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; must adhere to internal style guides
  • Will write high quality copy that integrates into Our Networks’ inbound and outbound marketing and communication strategy
  • Will write copy strategically utilizing SEO best practices
  • Will work with creative teams to set priorities       
  • Will manage, write, edit and update existing marketing materials, websites, and social media pages, and provide assistance and feedback to other teams’ marketing pieces and communications
  • Will perform editorial tasks such; proofreading and correction checks
  • Will condense significant amounts of messaging into succinct copy
  • Will write customer-centric copy that uses the appropriate voice for targeted audience

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET ON THE TEAM

  • Must have a BA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing and/or equivalent work experience
  • Must have 10+ years consumer marketing copywriting experience with email marketing, banners, direct mail and promotions experience; social networking experience highly preferred
  • Must be an expert with experience with MS Office, and other document editing tools

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR THE TEAM

  • Should be able to write Our voice across a variety of mediums including email, online and print
  • Should be able to write, edit, revise, and proof read copy prior to publication
  • Should maintain consistency in creative quality across all projects
  • Should have familiarity and understanding of SEO copy best practices and ability to balance SEO needs with customer goals
  • Should have advanced knowledge of HTML and web publishing; can easily adapt to content management systems, and online blogging platforms
  • Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for daily interaction with all levels of management and teams required
  • Should be able to review in detail the organization of materials in accordance with professional editing techniques to ensure intent, readability, and accuracy
  • Should be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines
  • Should be able to coordinate all copy and maintain consistency in tone, style and quality of work
  • Should be able to generate unique ideas to create exclusive copy
  • Should have high degree of honesty and integrity
  • Should be team-player, positive attitude and flexible
  • Should be at least 21 years old
  • Should be comfortable with adult material
